Questions
Do Nurseryworks cribs meet U.S. safety standards?
Yes. Nurseryworks cribs meet ASTM industry standards (ASTM-F-1169). The Aerial Crib, Loom Crib, Platform Crib, and Studio Crib are certified by the Juvenile Products
Manufacturers Association to meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards (CPSC-F-966). The upholstery fabrics meet all governmental standards for
textile safety, and are flame retardant.
What is required to assemble Nurseryworks furniture?
All Nurseryworks furniture requires some assembly, and detailed instructions are included. Required tools include a screwdriver, pliers, and possibly a wrench
(for extra tightening). Assembly is simple and can be performed in less than one hour per piece. If assembly is troublesome or difficult, Nurseryworks can be called for
assistance at (888) 508 9540. For customers who live in the Los Angeles, California and New York, New York areas, Nurseryworks offers a full delivery and assembly service
at a very reasonable fee.
How should Nurseryworks furniture be cared for?
A cotton cloth and a nontoxic cleanser will handle most needs. Nurseryworks fabrics are stain and water resistant; blotting a stain immediately with water will
remove most spills. If using a fabric cleanser, an inconspicuous spot should be tested to ensure that it does not discolor the fabric. Periodic polishing or oiling
of legs that have a stain finish will maintain the rich tones.
What is a Nurseryworks crib conversion kit?
A crib conversion kit converts a crib to a toddler daybed. Converted cribs have a built-in guardrail and an easy crawl-in space for a toddler.
What size mattress is recommended for Nurseryworks cribs? What size changing pad is recommended for Nurseryworks changing tables?
Nurseryworks recommends a 27.5" mattress for cribs and a changing pad that measures no longer than 33" for changing tables.
What are Nurseryworks products made of?
Nurseryworks furniture is made of six types of wood - ash, bent plywood, natural catalpa, Paulownia, pine, and zebra - with low-VOC lacquer and/or stained.
Paulownia is a plantation wood that is harvested every 8 to10 years, thereby meeting standards for sustainability. A small amount of MDF is used to produce
the Nurseryworks unique carving options.

Note
Nurseryworks furniture is handcrafted from woods finished with non-toxic and certified-safe lacquer and veneers. A child can not be harmed by these finishes.
Furniture may be affected by a teething child. Replacement parts, touchup paint, and wood stain pens are available for sale from Nurseryworks.
Nurseryworks products are handcrafted and made of woods. Wood is a natural material, which may bend and cause a variation in the alignment of the drawers.
Should this occur, Nurseryworks recommends attaching felt tabs or rubber pieces underneath the drawers to ensure that the drawers align.
